On Thursday the SPD wants to elect its new executive parliamentary committee at a special meeting.
According to the wishes of the current board of directors, the Pforzheim MP Katja Mast is to become the first parliamentary manager.
She would succeed Carsten Schneider.
It is still unclear which post the previous parliamentary group manager will get.
In a letter that SPIEGEL has received, parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich asks for support for the nomination of Mast and other candidates for the executive board.
MEPs should announce any further candidacies by Wednesday noon.
According to the will of the current leadership, Verena Hubertz (economy, construction, housing and tourism) is to become the deputy chairman of the parliamentary group.
The MP from Rhineland-Palatinate moved to the Bundestag after the general election in September.
In addition, the top of the parliamentary group proposes the following as the new deputy chairperson:
Gabriela Heinrich (external, development, defense, human rights)
Dagmar Schmidt (work, social affairs, health)
Matthias Miersch (environment, climate protection, energy, agriculture, consumer protection)
Detlef Müller (traffic, digital), Achim Post (budget, finances, Europe)
Sönke Rix (FSFJ, youth, education) and
Dirk Wiese (inside, law, petitions, sport, culture).
Gabriele Katzmarek, Josephine Ortleb, Marianne Schieder and Johannes Fechner are to become further parliamentary directors.
With the Greens, the last of the three traffic light parties voted in the afternoon for the coalition agreement with the SPD and FDP.
Nothing stands in the way of the new government under Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The coalition agreement could be signed on Tuesday, Olaf Scholz could be elected Chancellor in the Bundestag and his cabinet sworn in on Wednesday.
