The SPD will shortly announce the occupation of its seven ministry posts in the traffic light coalition.
The health department, which is particularly relevant in the corona pandemic, is to be headed by health expert Karl Lauterbach in the future.
SPIEGEL learned this from SPD circles.
The previous Federal Minister of Justice Christine Lambrecht will be the future Minister of Defense, the new Interior Minister should be the Hessian SPD state chairwoman Nancy Faeser.
As before in the grand coalition, Hubertus Heil will retain the office of Minister of Labor.
