Ankara-Sana
An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale hit eastern Turkey at dawn today.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the epicenter of the quake occurred 44 km northeast of the Turkish city of Van, at a depth of 2 km above the surface of the earth. There were no reports of casualties as a result of the quake.
