Thailand has announced that it has detected its first possible infection with the mutated Omicron strain of the Corona virus.
"The case that is still awaiting the results of the second examination is for an American citizen who came to Thailand from Spain at the end of last November," Director-General of the Medical Sciences Department, Subakit Cirillak, said in a press conference, according to what was reported by Reuters today.
The World Health Organization classified Omicron, which was first detected on the brown continent, as “alarming”, and it is the fifth version of Corona placed in this classification.
