The Prime Minister and the Minister of Health formulated today (Monday) in the assessment of the situation an updated policy for the period after the end of the current restrictions.
We emphasize that the government has not yet made a decision on when the new policy will take effect, and later this week another situation assessment will be held in accordance with the morbidity data in Israel and around the world.
Under the policy discussed, vaccinated returnees from yellow countries will be required to undergo PCR testing on the first day and 24-hour home isolation.
Also, returnees from unvaccinated yellow and orange states will be required for 7-day isolation and two negative PCR tests (on the first and seventh day).
In addition, unvaccinated returnees from a red state will be required to be isolated in a hotel at the expense of the isolator until a first PCR answer is obtained: if the answer is negative, the use of the 'schooner' will be approved and 7-day home isolation can be completed.
Once the new policy is approved, returnees from orange countries will be required to undergo negative PCR tests on the first and third day.
The obligation to insulate will remain for 24 hours or until the first test result is obtained, whichever is earlier.
Immunized returnees from red states will be required for negative PCR tests on the first and seventh day and 7-day home isolation.
