Nothing stands in the way of the traffic light.

The SPD and the FDP had already approved the coalition agreement, and on Monday the Greens were the last of the three government partners to break out in favor of a joint government.

In a ballot, in which all 125,126 party members were allowed to take part, more than 86 percent voted in favor of the negotiated coalition agreement.

With 71,214 votes cast, almost 57 percent of the Greens took part in the ballot.

This could be signed on Tuesday, Olaf Scholz could be elected Chancellor in the Bundestag and his cabinet sworn in on Wednesday.
