The producer has joined forces with the LCL bank to offer green electricity directly to eleven companies.

A contract for the supply of electricity at a guaranteed price, over twenty years, is precious in these times of soaring prices per kilowatt hour on the wholesale markets.

Producer Voltalia and LCL bank announced on Monday that they had signed such a contract with 11 companies.

A 56 megawatt solar power plant (one-twentieth of a nuclear reactor) will be built in Occitanie to supply them.

Companies are increasingly fond of this type of direct contract with renewable energy producers, which are negotiated around 45 euros per megawatt hour for wind power and 55 euros for solar.

Usually, this type of offer is reserved for large companies, which present sufficient guarantees to enter into contracts for a period of ten or even twenty years.

This time, this multiclient format, a first in Europe,

"allows companies of different sizes to become players committed to the energy transition"

, explains Sébastien Clerc, Managing Director.
