Activision's war franchise returns and we take a look at its three game modes: campaign, multiplayer, and zombies.

Activision's war franchise returns with an installment that transports the player back to World War II.

The new video game 'Call of Duty: Vanguard' arrived that we had the opportunity to test for a couple of weeks to dedicate a good number of hours.

This is all you need to know about the game whose structure is divided between Story Mode, Multiplayer and Zombies.

History

As I already mentioned at the beginning, the game takes us to World War II, giving us control of four soldiers in the final part of the great historical conflict.

The story takes place shortly after the death of Adolf Hitler and with Hermann Freisinger and Jannick Richter after power.

To avoid this, we will be in command of the first group of Special Forces in history, with which the entire campaign will take place that will transport you from the heart of Germany to Stalingrad in Russia.

This mode lasts about seven hours, making it one of the shortest in the franchise, and I would have liked a more focused approach on developing team members ranging from sniping to explosives.

Something positive is that with the passage of the campaign you will be able to appreciate the detail of each of the scenarios.

Zombies

This mode now brings smaller scenarios compared to the large maps we were used to and now we must overcome rounds and completing missions such as holding a certain position for a certain time, collecting runes left by the zombies and even walking with the head of one of the them while eliminating more enemies.

I would have liked the reduced scenarios to be in different places than the ones we have because they are exactly the same as those that exist in multiplayer.

Multiplayer

I must admit that these games were my favorite modality because it feels good to be traveling the maps.

Here you can also choose the rhythm, which will determine how many players there will be for each game.

The three game modes are Tactical, Assault, and Blitz.

The first is for games between six to 12 players, the second showing between 20 and 28 players and finally Blitz that allows between 28 and 48 players and which was my favorite.

conclusion

'Call of Duty: Vanguard' is a game that really looks spectacular with amazing graphics and animations improved to its predecessors.

Although my favorite mode is Multiplayer, both Zombies and Campaign are very worth it and you feel like you really get a lot of game modes for the price.

You will be able to appreciate from the night sky, the shadows, the details like the rain on certain maps and much more, which gives a great touch to this Activision game.

All this accompanied by effects such as explosions and shots that will give you a greater immersion in the story.

The game is available on consoles and for PC.
