The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus seized 160,000 pills of the narcotic Captagon, which were secretly hidden in olives and placed in 17 metal plates with the intention of trading them.
The Ministry of Interior stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of today, that the owner of the shipment was arrested, who admitted during his interrogation that he had made an agreement with a hidden person to send him Captagon pills after stuffing them with olives through a shipping office in exchange for a sum of money of 6 million. Syrian pounds in the event of the failure of the operation, and an amount of 10 million pounds in the event of its success.
The ministry confirmed that the narcotic pills were extracted, seized and the metal plates were destroyed, as they are unfit for human use, and investigations are still ongoing to uncover the rest of those involved in the operation.
