Today, in Al-Hasakah Governorate, a school vaccination campaign was launched, which is implemented by the Directorate of Education in cooperation with the Directorate of Health, and includes children in the first and sixth grades.
In statements to a SANA reporter, Dr. Khaled Al-Hussein, the director of school health, said that the campaign targets about 30,000 students in the first and sixth grades and takes place in two phases, as the second phase targets those who were absent during the first phase.
Al-Hasakah Director of Education, Elham Surkhan, explained that the directorate, in cooperation and coordination with school health and public health, has begun giving the vaccine to schoolchildren in the city of Hasaka and its countryside, while taking the necessary measures to ensure access to all targets.
Al-Hasakah Health Director Dr. Issa Khalaf pointed out that the directorate's role is to secure vaccinations and access to rural schools through mobile teams.
On the other hand, Khalaf indicated that the directorate, in parallel with giving the school vaccine, is giving the Corona vaccine to those who wish to vaccinate educational and teaching cadres.
