The police said that yesterday (December 6) received a report from a 24-year-old man that he encountered a man who claimed to be a police officer in a back alley at 95A Tung Choi Street, Mong Kok at about 2 am that day, and the other party requested After conducting a body search and checking the property, the reporter found that 2,000 yuan in cash was suspected of being stolen.
After intelligence analysis and in-depth investigation, officers of the Mong Kok Police District Intelligence Unit identified a target man and quickly launched an arrest operation. At 2:30 pm on the same day, a 39-year-old local man was arrested in a unit in Tsz Ching Village, Tsz Wan Shan. Suspected of "pretending to be a police officer" and "theft", and seized clothing suspected to be wearing at the time of the crime.
The arrested man is being detained for investigation and the case is being followed up by the Mong Kok District Criminal Investigation Team.
