Tartous-Sana
The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, in cooperation with the police in Tartous governorate, seized 4.5 tons of flour hidden in a warehouse in Safita with the intention of trafficking.
The head of the Consumer Protection Department in the directorate, Maher Marei, told SANA reporter that the seizure came after information was received about the owner of a bakery in the Safita area storing large quantities of ration flour in one of the warehouses with the intention of trading it, as the place was investigated and the mentioned quantity was revealed.
He also clarified that the confiscated quantity was handed over to the automated bakery in the Safita area, while the concerned authorities are still searching for the owner of the hidden bakery.
