A vast anti-mafia operation is underway in Foggia.
The Carabinieri dei Ros are carrying out a precautionary custody order in prison for 32 people accused, for various reasons, of mafia association aggravated by the availability of weapons and drugs, attempted murder, abusive port and possession of weapons, fictitious registration, self-laundering, personal aiding and abetting , extortion, aggravated fraud, aggravated theft and receiving stolen goods.
The disputed crimes are aggravated by the mafia method, as they are aimed - according to investigators - to facilitate the activity of the mafia groups active in the province of Foggia, in the territories of Manfredonia, Mattinata, Macchia and Vieste.
The orders were issued by the Court of Bari, at the request of the district anti-mafia and anti-terrorism prosecutor.
