The Central Judicial Police at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform closed two plants for the production of chemical fertilizers in the industrial city of Hasya due to violations in production and sale before obtaining the license after organizing the necessary documents and referring them to the competent judiciary.

Director of Land and Water at the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Jalal Ghazaleh, explained in a statement to SANA that the first plant that produces the phosphate fertilizer Triple Super Phosphate 46 percent found a violation in the production and sale in the market before obtaining the necessary license and manufacturing certificate, and the absence of the registration date and batch number on the bags Note that he obtained an industrial registry on 10/13/2021 and did not complete the agricultural registration papers.

He added that during the officer’s visit to the second plant, it was noticed that there was a small amount of superphosphate, and when asked about selling the production and circulating it in the markets, the answer was that he did not sell any quantity. Tartous and Hama governorates, where the necessary control was organized in warehouses and sales centers that were found in possession of violating superphosphate fertilizers and a written pledge not to trade them in the markets until the judicial decision is issued against the laborers.

Ghazaleh indicated that the committee worked to withdraw samples from all the labs that were visited for analysis in the laboratories of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and to verify the results.
