At the beginning of July, the "Asif" culinary center was officially opened, a place that can definitely be said to be invested in and especially unusual in the Israeli culinary landscape, one that sanctifies the Torah behind the Israeli culinary world, and more.
Naama Shefi, the CEO, said at the time that Assif would serve as "a home for cultivating food culture in Israel and encouraging news and creativity."
The first exhibition with which they started in Asif was entirely dedicated to the late Nehama Rivlin, the wife of former President Reuven (Ruby Rivlin), who passed away in June 2019. Rivlin has a very impressive culinary heritage that includes, among other things, over 1,000 recipes she has written in her handwriting over the years , And kept them all.
The exhibition also featured a variety of cookbooks and kitchen utensils alongside the same recipes written on simple tabs and pages.
After her death, the Rivlin family donated their "culinary legacy" to the Asif Center, where they have actually exhibited the exhibition to this day.
