Leung Zhuowei joined the University of Hong Kong in 1999 as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine. Five years later, he was promoted to an associate professor in the School of Public Health. After returning to Hong Kong from Harvard University in 2006, he became a professor and served as the Deputy Dean of the Hong Kong School of Social Medicine and Supervisor of Public Health Medicine.
