Notre-Dame de Paris: "What the fire spared, the diocese wants to destroy"

COLLECTIVE TRIBUNE - More than one hundred personalities * including Stéphane Bern, Alain Finkielkraut and Pierre Nora, express their very deep concern about the archbishop's plan aimed at disrupting the interior of the cathedral. On April 15, 2019, the world discovered, stunned and upset, the images of Notre-Dame on fire. These gifts were all declarations of love to Notre-Dame Cathedral. They thus testified to the confidence in our ability to revive this sublime artistic and spiritual heritage.

But today, this resurrection is seriously compromised by a project to develop the interior of the monument.

The diocese of Paris wants to take advantage of the restoration project to transform the interior of Notre-Dame into a project that completely distorts the decor and the liturgical space.
