At about 3 pm today (7th), a KMB was travelling along Prince Edward Road West in Kowloon City towards Mong Kok. When approaching a pedestrian crossing near Junction Road, it knocked down a 78-year-old woman who was crossing the road. After the woman fell out of balance and fell to the ground, she was trapped at the bottom of the front of the KMB, unable to move. Many passers-by came forward to check the situation of the old woman and provide assistance. Someone called the police for help.
After the personnel arrived, the old woman was rescued. She only had abrasions on her forehead and ankle pain. She was still awake and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Sources at the scene stated that when the bus driver saw the traffic light turn green, he drove forward. Unexpectedly, someone rushed out of the road and stopped in time and caused an accident.
A Cam video of the car at the time of the incident was circulating on the Internet. In the film, it can be seen that the KMB concerned was suspected of stopping and waiting in response to a traffic light. At that time, pedestrians were crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing.
In the meantime, someone ran out from the left front of the bus to cross the road. At the same time, the bus was driving forward because of the green light, and the person was knocked to the ground.
The bus halted immediately, but still pushed her a few meters ahead.
The passer-by was trapped at the bottom of the front of the car, and 7 or 8 enthusiastic citizens stepped forward to assist.
