A man and a woman from Ashkelon in their 30s and 20s were arrested last night (Monday) on suspicion of attempted murder, after they allegedly shot at another person while driving his car.
Today, the two will be brought to the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court for a hearing on the police's request to extend their detention.
Following the driver's report of a shot fired at him from a car that fled the scene, police forces were called from Kiryat Gat station to Road Six, near the Kiryat Gat interchange, at night.
After meeting the victim, the forces noticed gunshots on his vehicle, located the location where the shooting took place and collected evidence and findings.
At the same time, large police forces began searching for the suspect vehicle.
Within a short time, they were able to locate the vehicle with the two suspects near Kiryat Gat.
The two were arrested on suspicion of shooting and attempted murder and were taken for questioning at the Kiryat Gat station.
