A bill that comes at the right time, as the government encourages the establishment of more teleworking to counter the fifth wave of Covid-19.
Deposited by the member for Haute-Savoie (LREM) Frédérique Lardet in mid-November, it aims to create a "
teleworking package
" of 600 euros maximum per year.
This allowance, tax-exempt and exempt from contributions and social contributions for the company, could be implemented via a company agreement.
It would allow employees to have their employer pay for their teleworking costs, whether it is done at home (internet, electricity, etc.) or outside, in a coworking space or a third place.

This last element constitutes the whole novelty of this proposal.
Indeed, the existing system - companies can pay a tax-exempt teleworking allowance and exempt from charges limited to 2.50 euros per day and 550 euros per year - only concerns "
the costs of teleworking at home
", notes Frédérique Lardet, attached by

Except that "
some people cannot telework from home
", underlines the elected official, because of a housing which is not very conducive to work (lack of space, poor internet connection, noise pollution ...).

A card to pay for teleworking costs
This is why the member is proposing the creation of a package that could also be used in “
telecentres
”, on the same model as the
already existing “
mobility package
”.

This device could be dematerialized, with a card that the employee would use to pay his teleworking costs, and which would be recharged like the restaurant ticket card

If the Macronist deputy is "
optimistic
" on the future adoption of her proposal, supported by around forty elected members of the majority, it has not yet been won.
She wants it to be studied in the National Assembly next January or February, that is to say before the end of the legislature, for an entry into force hoped for by the end of 2022.
