Yaniv Oded regained full consciousness and was cut off from the respirator, after being seriously injured in an accident that occurred on Friday at the Ofarim junction, in which the two children of the family were killed.

Disaster in Samaria: The

condition of the father of the family, Yaniv, whose two children were killed in a car accident on Friday in Binyamin, began to improve today (Tuesday) when he regained full consciousness and was disconnected from the ventilator.

In an accident that occurred on Friday at the Ofarim junction on Road 465 in Binyamin, two children from the Moeded family were killed - 6-year-old Hillel and 3-year-old Tov Rai.

Their father Yaniv and their mother Hoodia (who was in an advanced stage of pregnancy, and lost her fetus in an accident) were seriously and fatally injured when their vehicle collided with a Palestinian vehicle.

Unfortunately, this is not the only serious accident that occurred over the weekend.

Accidents across the country claimed the lives of other victims.

"The heart aches to the heavens"

An investigation into the accident in Benjamin shows that the collision occurred when the Palestinian vehicle made a U-turn in a continuous dividing line.

The two young Palestinians in the vehicle were also killed.

Members of the Moeded family, residents of Baruchin in Samaria, moved there from Rehovot about a week ago.

The family was on their way to Nof Ayalon, near Modi'in, to spend Shabbat with their grandparents, Hoodia's parents.

An investigation of the circumstances of the accident and the collection of findings in the area shows, as stated, that the Palestinian vehicle, traveling on Road 465 from the direction of Shukba, made a U-turn in a continuous dividing line.

The Israeli vehicle, which came from the opposite lane and was traveling in the direction of Modi'in, collided with the side of the Palestinian vehicle.

The collision was powerful, as evidenced by the long time it took for firefighters from the Binyamin Regional Station to rescue the trapped from both vehicles.

Lahav Lior Alkrif, deputy commander of the shift at the Binyamin Regional Station, said: "The firefighters rescued trapped and killed in the very serious accident. The accident was frontal, and the rescue complexity was significant. They were trapped very badly and the rescue operations took a long time."

Medical forces arrived at the scene and provided medical care to the injured.

The deaths of the two young men in the Palestinian vehicle, which an inspection revealed to be a "shtuba" vehicle - a vehicle that was taken down for dismantling and prohibited from use - were determined after they were rescued.

The death of 3-year-old Tov Rai was also determined at the scene.

Father Yaniv and 6-year-old daughter Hillel were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in a very critical and critical condition, where doctors were forced to determine the girl's death shortly thereafter.

"All of the doctors' resuscitation efforts have come to naught," the hospital said.

The children were laid to rest last night in the Rehovot cemetery.

Hoodia was evacuated in critical condition to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.

A relative of Hoodia said that this was a very serious disaster and that the two families were strengthening each other.

"The situation is not easy and we are looking ahead to see how we can strengthen the parent couple," he said.

Ahuva and Rafi Moeded, the parents of father Yaniv and the grandparents of the grandchildren who perished in the accident, said at their home in Petah Tikva: "At 19:30 in the evening, a police officer came to our house and gave the bitter news. Yaniv no

Called and we did not understand.

We thought maybe he was preoccupied because he had just moved in, in the end it turned out he had an accident. "Ahuva added:" The heartache is sky high.

How can it be digested?

It's three people. "

Yishai Rauchberger, Hoodia's brother, was called to handle the incident.

"I am a paramedic in the Modiin area. Responsible for the entire area," he said.

I'm the one who got the case.

I neutralized the emotions in order to function and to evacuate them to the hospital as quickly as possible. "To save lives."

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
