The American authorities recommended their citizens to avoid traveling to a number of countries, including France and Portugal, in the midst of the spread of the new wave of the new mutated Corona “Omicron” in the European continent.
And the French press agency quoted the US State Department as telling American citizens in its new bulletin, “Avoid travel to France,” raising the warning level for this country to the fourth level, which is the highest, with the approach of Christmas and New Year, amid the outbreak of the mutant Omicron.
The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control and the main health authority in the United States stated that "given the current situation associated with Covid 19 in France, even fully vaccinated travelers can be at risk of contracting and transmitting the mutant."
The list of countries concerned with the warning issued by the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, in addition to France and Portugal, Cyprus, Andorra and Liechtenstein in Europe, as well as Jordan and Tanzania, in addition to Mali and the Fiji Islands, which announced yesterday the registration of the first infection with Omicron.
