Actress Scarlett Johansson is embracing the hottest trend of the season, sequins.

At a ceremony last Sunday at the Canadian Center for the Performing Arts, she arrived with partner Colin Jost shimmering from head to toe.

Johansson, who does not often appear on red carpets, chose to stand out in a sequin dress in a gold-amber shade (a trendy shade in itself) in a collar cut, with a generous neckline and a narrow cut with a little crease that emphasizes the waist.

To the dress, which was worn with silver heeled sandals, Johnson added silver accessories as well: a necklace and earrings, which added another pinch to the glam.
