State witness Nir Hefetz is expected to continue testifying today (Tuesday) in the Jerusalem District Court as part of his cross-examination in the 4000 and 2000 cases, after another day of testimony in the complicated cases ended yesterday.
Towards the end of the testimony last night, Hefetz said that Netanyahu was influenced by Yair and Sarah Netanyahu, whom he called "his environment," and who accepted their views contrary to the defense establishment's position in a way that "could have resulted in thousands killed," so he concluded he was unfit to serve.
It seems that the reference is to the magnetometer affair - after a shooting attack carried out on the Temple Mount by a weapon that was removed from the bag, it was decided to place magnetometers to check the worshipers.

As you may recall, this caused riots and a stabbing attack at the Israeli embassy in Jordan, following which the terrorist was shot and killed.
This caused a political crisis with Jordan, which demanded the removal of the magnetometers in exchange for the security guard's return to Israel.
Finally, Netanyahu folded and ordered their removal.
"The decisions made in the prime minister's house are the angles. The security echelons would make a decision, but then Yair would scream at him and Sarah would make scenes and he would give up ... I left my position with Netanyahu in September 2017 because I thought he was no longer qualified to make security decisions for the state. "Israel, because of the situation around him. I think so even today."
