With the participation of 80 children from several inclusive schools in Aleppo, Sobhi Dayeh Al-Dameh School organized a celebration today entitled Look at my achievements despite my difficulties, within the framework of the activities held on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which included a theatrical performance, a poetry debate, and lyrical and sports segments.

In statements to SANA's reporter, Ibrahim Masso, director of Aleppo Education, confirmed the directorate's keenness to provide support to students with disabilities by allocating classrooms in schools, rehabilitating their educational cadres, upgrading their talents, and encouraging them to develop their scientific skills, which contributes to enhancing their self-confidence and integration into society.

Huda al-Hassan, head of the research department in the directorate, explained that the number of inclusive schools in Aleppo and its countryside is 20, comprising about 200 male and female students with various disabilities, pointing out the importance of conducting these activities to shed light on this group of children and spread a culture of integration and acceptance between them and the local community.

Nazli Al-Sultan, the resource room teacher at the inclusive Dalal Maghribi School, pointed out the importance of giving support to people with disabilities and working to raise the level of their abilities and talents.

In Al-Hasakah, the volunteers of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch, in cooperation with the Syrian Medical Society, carried out a series of recreational activities at Abdullah Al-Salman Stadium in the center of Al-Hasakah city for 70 children with disabilities, including singing and educational performances and the distribution of gifts.

In statements to SANA’s reporter, Elaf Al-Hamoud, director of the Crescent’s branch in Al-Hasakah, stated that the activity comes within the framework of the branch’s interest in children with disabilities to support them and provide what is necessary to integrate them into society and put a smile on their faces.

Samar Al-Somai, Executive Director of the Syrian Medical Society, indicated that the society's participation aims to support children with disabilities, as they are the group most in need of assistance.

Parents of children noted the importance of these activities in entertaining their children and integrating them into society.

On the third of December every year, countries around the world celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
