The leader Freddy Superlano, former opposition candidate to the elections for the governor of Barinas, announced this Monday at a press conference that the new candidate for the opposition Democratic Unity Table will be Sergio Garrido, current deputy to the Legislative Council of the state Barinas.

Garrido won a seat in the state parliament in the regional and municipal elections on November 21, where Superlano was a candidate for governor.

However, after several days of uncertainty, the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice ordered a repeat of these elections after accepting a constitutional amparo action for alleged violation of articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution of Venezuela, which refer to law. participation in elections.
