The man suspected of having slightly injured the far-right presidential candidate Eric Zemmour by grabbing him during his meeting on Sunday in Seine-Saint-Denis will be presented to an examining magistrate on Wednesday December 8, announced on Tuesday the attorney of Bobigny, Eric Mathais.

The individual is accused of having caused an injury to the wrist of the polemicist by grabbing him in the middle of the jubilant crowd during his meeting Sunday in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis), the first of his presidential campaign. Arrested in the wake, his police custody was lifted Tuesday for presentation the next day to an examining magistrate, said the Bobigny prosecutor's office in the evening.

The opening of a (judicial) information will be required against him on the count of willful violence resulting in an ITT of more than eight days, facts having been committed with premeditation, in a state of legal recidivism
", declared in a statement Eric Mathais. The prosecution will also seek the placement under judicial supervision of the respondent, with a ban from coming into contact with Eric Zemmour or from carrying a weapon, he added.

In a parallel procedure linked to this political rally, the Bobigny public prosecutor's office is also leading an investigation into the violence committed against SOS Racism activists who came to protest in the room against the candidate.
The two investigations into the violence inside Eric Zemmour's meeting in Villepinte are entrusted to the departmental security.
