Damascus-SANA
“The Warmth of the Statement” is a poetic evening in Abu Rummaneh’s cultural heritage, in which the warmth overshadowed the cold weather and rains of Kanon, which were not an obstacle to poetry lovers and connoisseurs, so they attended despite all circumstances.
The evening was characterized by its inclination towards the poetry column and the weights of Hebron, despite the deviation of its images and meanings to modernity, so that its poets prove that these weights are capable of containing all modernist data. In it: “My roots have died, the branch and the paper have dried up... Tears of sorrow erupted and the paper became mobilized.”
Assaf also read poems that varied between the patriotic, the romantic, the sentimental and the human, entitled “O you who are exiled”, “the creepers”, “the land is my land” and “I am the Bedouin”.
And the poet Dr. Osama Al-Hamoud read a vertical poem from the simple sea also, in which he sang about the depth of our civilization and the extension of its roots, entitled “In the Rehab of the Lost,” in which he said: “In the beginning we were, and there was worry and pain.. False in your face, this universe is smiling.. Death dragged her and stormed her.”
Then Al-Hamoud recited sentimental, humane and flirtatious poems, including “The Secret of the Story,” “Tell Me How the Way,” “The Drowning Prayer,” “The Magic of Cod,” “The Full Moon,” and “The Magic of Femininity.”
