Engineer Abdul Karim Shabat, Director General of the General Foundation for Feed, stated that the poultry sector’s allocations of feed materials were increased by adding 100 grams of bran, so that each bird’s share became 1300 grams of feed materials instead of 1200 grams, in the context of supporting breeders in these difficult circumstances, noting that The Corporation's sales of yellow corn and soybean meal to the poultry sector recorded an unprecedented figure of 160,000 tons at prices reduced by about 30% compared to the markets.
He added: The Corporation has a good stock of all fodder materials amounting to 165 thousand tons located in our warehouses, contributing to the stability of feed prices in the markets, pointing out that the Corporation's sales of all feed materials designated for the livestock sector amounted to 428 thousand tons, at a value of 296 billion pounds, while the amount of purchases reached To about 385 thousand tons, 90 thousand tons are external purchases and the rest are internal purchases, in addition to the corporation's share of private sector imports.
February pointed to the great achievement achieved by the Corporation, represented in the start of work and production in the Tal Balat Feed Factory in Aleppo, despite the great difficulties. The plant produced within 15 days about 3000 tons of factory feed, which was distributed and sold in the governorates of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Deir Ezzor, indicating that the production of the Corporation’s plants in each Provinces amounted to 50 thousand tons of manufactured feed materials.
