The workshops of the Parks Department of Hama City Council today carried out a comprehensive cleaning and weeding campaign for the industry roundabout on Salamiyah road, in addition to planting forest trees on the outskirts of the roundabout.
Head of the Parks Department, Eng. Adeeb Harmoush, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the workers cleaned the entire roundabout of dirt and weeds, then planted a number of forest trees of different types, in addition to roses and rosemary. A new irrigation network was also extended to water the trees, indicating that the aim of this campaign is to improve The aesthetic appearance of the city and the restoration of glamor and life to the gardens, which are frequented by a large number of residents, especially in the summer.
Harmoush pointed out that the directorate carried out several cleaning campaigns and planting similar trees during the current year in the cliff of Ain Al-Lawzeh, the Sebahi roundabout, and the Souk Al-Hal roundabout, pointing to the continuity of work in the rehabilitation and maintenance of public parks in the city throughout the whole year in order to keep them clean and in the best suit.
Earlier this year, the Parks Department carried out rehabilitation and maintenance works for the parks and facilities of the Hama Castle Archaeological Park and contributed to its reopening to residents and visitors after it was closed for nearly 9 years.
