A party in the soul: Even the right has no expectations of itself Israel today

2021-12-08T20:24:01.460Z

There are almost no values and ideals left to her right that she has not broken away from • Even the constant "Bibi did not do" excuses (which no one ever understood, by the way) have already disappeared • No expectations - no disappointments

Yesterday, reporter 11 Ze'ev Kam published a shocking news item: If there are no last-minute changes, the Infiltrators Law will expire today, despite Minister Ayelet Shaked's intention to put his extension to the vote.

This happened in contrast to her belligerent declarations on the subject only recently ("in closed conversations!") That she would not even try to convince Meretz, but would bring the law as it is to a vote.

"It remains to be seen whether Meretz will dare to vote against it and violate coalition discipline," the minister threatened, exposing a muscle.

For free, of course.

Because as stated - the law will not go up.

The reason: Meretz simply informed Shaked that this would not happen.

Why?

hat.

Until a few weeks ago, such news - in fact another nail in the coffin of the future Jewish majority in Israel - would have led to the burning of networks, especially on the right, and as a result also to a series of frightened briefings by Shaked and the right ("Closed Talks!").

But the report passed almost indifferently: there are simply no expectations from the party.

After all, it was only at the beginning of the week that Shaked pushed for the passage of the Electricity Law.

With the Infiltrators Law likely to expire, the construction freeze in Jerusalem and Atarot, an almost official waiver of the Negev, the quiet building permit for Palestinians currently building freely and establishing facts on the ground, and the conscious dependence on a supporter party - practically, Fell apart from them.

Even the constant "Bibi didn't do" excuses (which no one ever understood, by the way) have disappeared.

No expectations - no disappointments.

The thing is that the right also has no expectations of itself.

The party internalized a few weeks ago that they would not have passed the blocking percentage if the election had been held now.

His melancholy internal polls were shattered in a panic for fear of daylight, the briefings became increasingly angry, the territory did not exist - and all this, with its chairman serving as prime minister especially annoyed until the baton was transferred to the torch, and then that aura would disappear. A toothless leaf, without the ability to threaten and maneuver. When this is the case, Abbas and Zandberg simply inform Shaked & Co. what is allowed, and especially what is forbidden, and the latter only have to make a disappointed face and leak briefings ("Closed conversations!").

What does the future hold?

There are two options.

The first - as the rotation gets closer, the right will try to pounce on right-wing voters in Assaf.

With the sword of disappearance on their necks, they will suddenly build muscle, threaten and perhaps even violate one or two coalition disciplines, while building on the short and glorious memory of right-wing voters in Israel.

The logical option, and also more familiar to those who are a bit involved within the party - is for its members to be compensated everywhere.

Bennett and Saar are already squinting for friendships and integration, expressing themselves as members of Yesh Atid and even receiving compliments online from the boss (Lapid).

Silman does not bother to deny contacts with Yesh Atid, Orbach is busy with prayers that no one will dig into his connection to the huge debts left to the Jewish home (so far not so going), Kara and Pinto will be happy to continue fighting under another factional roof, and a good day is not really interesting.

In fact, Shaked, who apparently missed the connecting train to Shikli and thus also the title of "Princess of the Right", may be left behind.

Who knows, it might finally be time for a tummy tuck.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
