It all started with information.
Last week, the urban security police of the agglomeration of Evry-Corbeil dismantled crack and cocaine trafficking in Corbeil-Essonnes.
During the searches, nearly 9,500 euros in cash were seized, as well as 474 g of crack, computer equipment, cell phones, but also 18 bottles of high-end champagne.
Four adults, including a woman, were arrested.
Tried by the Criminal Court of Évry, two of the perpetrators of the trafficking were sent to prison at the end of the hearing. "The first was sentenced to three years' imprisonment and the second to 18 months," said a police source. A third defendant was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, six of which was suspended, and the last to eight months suspended.
Made from cocaine, crack is gaining ground in Île-de-France.
Its low cost, around 5 euros per “stone”, makes it accessible to as many people as possible.
Crack is also known to be very dangerous due to the withdrawal effects that appear from the very first intake.
In Paris, several consumption sites have been evacuated in recent months.
Last September, consumers on rue Riquet (19th century) found refuge in the square de la Villette (19th century).
