There are renovation works where quality must not be compromised - otherwise the cheap one can be expensive • How to choose a good sealing contractor? And what is the recommended sealing method? • The complete guide

Sealing is one of the most important areas in the real estate industry. As in any field where professional work is required, here too - the cheapest is expensive. Unprofessional sealing work can cause you a lot of trouble. Therefore, it is important to choose an experienced sealing contractor with receipts.

Sealing contractors knew how to use the right materials and perform the appropriate tests to identify the failures and address them once and for all.

The sealing methods are quite varied and each has its own advantages, so the range of possible costs is wide but sometimes the solution for a particular roof will be very specific.

What are the recommended methods?

Most contractors prefer to work with bituminous sheets.

Unlike other methods, the use of bituminous sheets frees you from maintenance or bleaching of the roof after sealing.

Another method is sealing using polymeric materials sprayed on the roof.

Sealing exterior walls: Every new or old structure must undergo professional end-to-end wall sealing.

This is even before the cladding is done.

If the cladding has already been done, we can carry out restoration work to prevent the destruction of the walls over time.

There are several types of waterproofing for exterior walls on the market, from which we have selected for you the five main types:

Cement sealing - a quality material and intended for sealing exterior and interior walls.

• Crystal sealant - provides high and high quality sealing against the ingress of water and moisture.

• Epoxy sealant - used for sealing and coating buildings, bridges, exterior walls, pools.

• Bituminous sealant - provides a sealing layer that provides protection against moisture, groundwater.

• Polymeric sealant - provides high-quality and high-quality sealing as well as a decorative and breathable coating for the exterior walls of the house.

How much does it cost us?

Tarring roofs up to 100 sq.m. will cost between NIS 3,500-6,000, roof tarring 100-200 sq.m. will cost you between NIS 30-70 and roof tarring over 200 sq.m. will cost you NIS 25-50; roof sealing with acrylic sealant will cost you NIS 30 NIS 60 per square meter, sealing a roof with a polymeric material up to 50 square meters will cost NIS 45-100 per square meter, and if your roof is over 50 square meters, you will pay between NIS 30-60 per square meter.

Price of sealing roofs with bituminous sheets 5 mm: NIS 85-120 per meter.

Finally, the most important tip for any contractor is to ask how long a warranty you get on the job.

The usual time is five years, although some contractors also give a ten-year warranty, which means they are confident in their work and want to give you peace of mind for many years to come.
