Retired Superintendent Uri Bar-Lev, former Southern District Police Chief, warned this morning (Wednesday) in a conversation with 103FM that the laxity of the law enforcement system in the face of rampant crime in the South will lead to anarchy, terrorism and even massacre.
"I am very disturbed," he said in a conversation with Golan Yokfaz and Anat Davidov. "Football referees. We are not really taking advantage of what the legislature has given us."
Bar-Lev was asked if the judges fear or are threatened by criminal elements in Arab society, and replied in the affirmative: "Of course, the answer is unequivocally yes. We lose relevance. Once you are irrelevant, those who control the territory in the end are the same criminals, ".

The threat to the judges, according to Bar-Lev, is not the whole picture.
"At the next event a lot of blood will be shed, we are heading towards anarchy. I walked around Lod, there was non-stop firing and heavy tools. There was firing in the last confrontation as well, and the media ignores. An educator I know lives in Ramla We said in such and such words 'they will kill each other' - but in the end we will find ourselves in a massacre. "
Asked what scenario he saw as a massacre, he replied that an Arab-Israeli would automatically open fire on Jews.
"Where do you live? I meet people and I see what is happening on the ground. The Arab street understands who controls the street, it recognizes the weakness," he said.
