In October, caregivers and patients at Saint-Jacques hospital had recorded a clip, featuring their service on Pas Essentiel, the singer's title. He went to meet them.

Saturday, December 4, and while giving a concert at the Zenith in Nantes the same evening, Grand Corps Malade made a stop at the city hospital.

Nothing serious.

He simply wanted to visit the caregivers and patients of the physical medicine and rehabilitation center of the Saint-Jacques hospital.

The latter had published a video clip last October, featuring his song

Pas Essentiel

released a year ago.

For this title, he was inspired by the fate of the French population during the health crisis of 2020 and the repeated confinements.

“Essential”, an adjective that had never been used so much in everyday life as during the pandemic.

The clip, which featured patients from the Rehab Education Unit, garnered more than 45,000 views just one month after its publication.

Its objective was to

"show all these essential moments of life within a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities in a period of transition"

, we could read in the description of the video.

All these actors who managed to overcome their suffering and their handicap during the production of a video clip, saw their efforts rewarded.

If they did not hope so, the video nevertheless reached the ears of Grand Corps Malade, who decided to meet them.

When he arrived, the emotion was palpable in the service.

“It's touching, it's nourishing.

We all have masks but I saw lots of beautiful looks, I saw wet looks, I saw smiles in their eyes, people who were happy;

and I was also happy to be there,

”says the singer on
