The two minors were arrested Monday, December 6, said the prosecution.

They were placed in police custody for violence aggravated by three circumstances: in a meeting, because of the real or supposed sexual orientation of the victim, and by someone hiding his face.

A video of the assault was posted on social media in October.

We saw about ten people violently hitting the victim, including punches and kicks.

The video showed that several people had tried to come between the attackers and the victim, trapped against a fence.

The facts took place in the sensitive sector of the Forest district.

The victim, who is not an inhabitant of Montgeron, was there with a friend.

He had explained during his hearing to have been, because of his appearance, "

free of charge by a pack of individuals shouting 'queer' to him,

" according to the prosecution.

Interviewed in the program

Touche pas à mon poste

, the young Yanis had delivered a poignant testimony.

"

I didn't answer, they were filming, it was laughing,

" he explained, before adding: "

I think it was free.

Especially since I am not gay

”.

According to a judicial source, the two suspects, who were identified thanks to testimonies and video analyzes, admitted in police custody their presence on the scene at the time of the facts.

However, they denied or minimized their participation in the assault, said this source.

One is accused of having butted the victim with a head while the second allegedly threw a shoe at him.

The prosecution will request their placement under judicial supervision pending their summons to a guilty hearing, which should take place within a period of between one and three months.

The investigation is continuing to try to identify the other alleged attackers.
