Iran called on the international community to condemn the acts of piracy by the United States and its threat to navigation and international trade.
In a speech during the United Nations General Assembly meeting on "oceans and sea rights", Zahra Ershady, Iran's ambassador and assistant representative to the United Nations, warned of the dangerous policies represented by the United States stealing Iranian oil at sea over the past months, stressing that these dangerous policies led to To further deterioration of the situation due to unilateral arrogant policies.
Irshadi called for condemning these illegal measures, which are a threat to free trade in the seas and freedom of navigation, noting Iran's role in combating maritime piracy and cooperating with other countries in this field.
Ershadi added that Iran calls on all countries to cooperate in order to preserve the environment and to avoid unilateral measures that could endanger the marine environment.
Over the past months, the United States has carried out many piracy operations against Iranian ships and oil shipments, in flagrant violation of international laws and norms.
