Belarusian media report that Daniel (Dmitry) Plaszczynski, a 33-year-old Israeli citizen, has been arrested in the country.
The Foreign Ministry said the matter was under investigation.
In a video of one of the interior units in Minsk, Plaszczynski appears "expressing remorse" for subscribing to telegram channels affiliated with the opposition.
The Belarusian Interior Ministry unit also claims that Plaszczynski purchased a weapon, but did not keep it dismantled in the safe as required.

Plaszczynski is an entrepreneur, programmer and developer of WiFiMap, a project he has been working on since 2012. In the video "Regret" - a genre especially beloved in the Belarusian dictatorship - he admits he subscribed to the channels and sent pictures to a bot of one of them.
"I had a shotgun, which was in a complex condition," he adds, "during the search, the rifle was confiscated."
A month ago, attorney Maya Reiten-Stoll, who specializes in criminal and civil law, was arrested in Belarus. 2.5 grams of medical cannabis were found in her possession.
