The House Select Committee investigating the January 6 riots informed Mark Meadows that he has "no choice" but to advance criminal contempt proceedings against him, as Meadows decided to stop cooperating. , according to a new letter published by the commission.
"The select committee has no choice but to initiate contempt proceedings and recommend that the agency in which Mr. Meadows served refer him to criminal prosecution," Thompson wrote in a letter dated Dec. 7.
