Yusaku Maezawa, a Japanese billionaire, traveled into space aboard a capsule and a Russian-made Soyuz rocket.
It is the first self-financed tourist mission to the International Space Station in a decade.
Maezawa will make a 12-day journey and is accompanied by Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin and a cameraman, whose role is to capture images of the fashion mogul during this time.
