Today, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced the registration of the first case of the novel coronavirus (Omicron) mutant.
And the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Abdullah Al-Sanad, as saying: The case of the infection belongs to a European traveler who came to Kuwait from one of the African countries where infections with the Omicron mutant were recorded.
Al-Sanad added that the traveler had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, indicating that he had been subjected to quarantine since his arrival to Kuwait.
The Omicron mutant, which was first detected in South African countries, has raised global alert amid attempts to prevent its spread and tighten health restrictions and measures.
