More than 962 million Syrian pounds, sales of the Vegetable Drying Company in Salamieh in 11 months

The General Manager of the General Company for Drying Onions and Vegetables in Salamiyah, Engineer Basil Al-Hamwi, revealed that the company's sales during the past 11 months of this year amounted to 962 million and 177 thousand pounds.

Hamwi explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the sales resulted from selling more than 247 tons of foodstuffs that the company manufactures from dried onions, coarse and fine bulgur, and falafel, in addition to thyme, peeled wheat, packaged and wrapped materials of grains, legumes and dried materials, indicating that the company continues to organize contracts With farmers in order to supply the crop of white onions, iris and Badron for the next season.

He said that the company provides facilities to farmers, including providing financial advances to farmers to finance agricultural work, provide seeds, secure bags and diesel, and transport the crop within company cars, in cooperation and coordination with the General Authority for the Management and Development of the Forest, the Directorate of Agriculture and the Farmers Union, expecting that these measures will encourage farmers to contract with the company.
