The plane is the safest mode of transportation in the world.
As long as you do not embark on any aircraft ... According to the European Union, some companies do not meet the safety standards required to land on its soil.
It maintains a blacklist, the latest version of which, published on November 25, includes 97 operators.
The list of air carriers banned from operating in Europe has been established since 2006. It is updated approximately twice a year by the Commission assisted by the European Union Air Safety Committee, with validation by the European Parliament.
Its objective: to encourage companies whose standards are deemed too low to review their requirements.
Mission accomplished in Moldova, a country whose companies have just left the blacklist.
Others, however, have been added, such as the Russian company Skol Airline.

The carriers on the list are not allowed to land on or overfly the territory of the 27. For the European authorities, the aviation authorities of 15 states simply do not meet international safety standards. All the companies in these countries are therefore placed on the blacklist, ie 90 operators in total. This is the case of Afghanistan, Eritrea or Nepal.
Sometimes only certain companies from one country are banned from flying in the European Union.
This is the case for seven companies, including Iran Aseman Airlines or Air Zimbabwe.
Last case, two companies which are not totally banned but are subject to restrictions.
Certain aircraft of their fleet are not authorized to land on the territory of the 27. These are the Iranian Iran Air and the North Korean Air Koryo.
