Homs-Sana
The poets of “Al-Bayader Forum” weaved their poems from the issues of the homeland and stories of spinning in the evening hosted by the Cultural Center in Homs and witnessed a remarkable cultural and literary presence.
The poet Mohsen Fendi from the city of Jableh presented three poems that varied between the patriotic, the sentimental, and the ghazal in the styles of vertical, prose and zajal poetry, including his poem “Aftat Gharamha” in which he returns with the nostalgia of the lover who is eager to meet his soul mate.
From Lattakia, the poet Issa Shabana participated in poems that evoked love for the homeland, appreciation of the martyr, and devotion to the lover.
The poet Muflih Suleiman from Tartous shared a bouquet of sentimental and patriotic poems from his collection, “They do not have a speech from him.”
Regarding the Al-Bayader Forum, its director, poet Hassan Bazaqi, said in a statement to SANA Cultural Center on the sidelines of the evening that the aim of the forum, which was established ten years ago and includes one hundred and twenty members of poets, writers and plastic artists, is to raise the level of awareness among young people and discover talents and shed light on them and pay attention to poets and writers who have not been granted access to them. Their right in the cultural field, and Bezaqi pointed out that the forum organizes a variety of cultural activities, including its annual festival, and is filled with lectures, poetry and literary evenings, and plastic exhibitions.
