Purpose of this new weekly meeting set up by the municipal team: "Respond to the hypermedia coverage of which the town hall has been the subject since Anne's candidacy", answers a member of the entourage close to the mayor.

In short: while the mayor is beating the campaign, we must respond to all the topical Parisian subjects placed in the spotlight since Anne Hidalgo aspires to be President of the Republic.

"It is also a way of showing that municipal affairs are still held," we whisper in the halls of the Town Hall.

Meetings every Monday

Everything is carefully organized so that the mayor of Paris is not accused of leaving the capital.

To review the hot issues of the week and give the arbitrations, Anne Hidalgo holds a meeting every Monday morning with a small team: Emmanuel Grégoire obviously, Patrick Bloche, deputy in charge of education and organization of the Council of Paris , Socialist senator Rémi Ferraud, boss of the Paris En Commun group at the Council of Paris, the chief of staff of the mayor Frédéric Lénica and his faithful political advisor Jean-Marie Vernat.

If some deputies regret not seeing the mayor much since she became a candidate, others ensure that she can always be contacted if necessary.

Last week she was there all the time, and only left for Brittany on Friday evening.

“Emmanuel Grégoire is still much more in demand than before and replaces her on many events,” notes an advisor.
