In her resourcefulness, the doctor managed to break free from one handcuff and thus eventually free and release the son. Fortunately the robbers did not require medical attention. A police force arrived at the scene. At the same time, checkpoints were set up and searches were conducted for the robbers. So far no one was arrested. According to the suspicion, this is a targeted robbery after an early "intelligence job".

Nofit, the director of the settlement, and the chairman of the local committee described the incident as an "exceptional burglary incident," emphasizing that the family was not harmed at any stage and no physical damage was caused. "It is important to note that the incident was spotty and ended," they said.

The residents, however, still have a feeling of discomfort, and even a feeling that they are trying to sweep the case under the rug.

"The incident is a very serious leap forward in the safety and security of us all," says one of the community's concerned residents.

Another resident told Walla !: "Such an event has not happened since the settlement was founded. It feels to us like something very sophisticated and that is worrying. There was a miracle here after Hanukkah, because given the use of firearms, it could have ended much worse."
