Revealed: The real reason Alec Baldwin closed his Twitter accounts | Israel today

2021-12-08T08:42:08.615Z

Contrary to popular belief that the actor decided to leave the network following the shooting incident, it now turns out that this is a much more complex, surprising and shocking story

Actor Alec Baldwin closed down his two Twitter accounts this week - and now there seems to be a different reason for this than many have concluded.

When the actor decided to leave the social network earlier this week, the prevailing assumption was that it was in response to the media and public outcry he experienced after the shooting incident in which he was involved in a film set starring him, in which photographer Lina Hatchkins was killed.

It now turns out that this is not the only complication of the Hollywood star this week, and that the deletion of the account may actually be his response to the mention of his name in the trial of Jislaine Maxwell, the partner of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell is considered the girlfriend, partner and secret wife of billionaire and financier Epstein, who was at the center of an affair of soliciting prostitutes, exploiting minors and trafficking in women.

Last Friday, as part of Maxwell's publicized trial, significant evidence was uncovered by the prosecution, in the form of a copy of Epstein's The Little Black Notebook.

In the notebook, Epstein compiled the names, telephone numbers and addresses of his friends, acquaintances and partners.

The notebook included the names of many celebrities, including Alec Baldwin.

The presentation of the notebook as significant evidence at trial occurred two days before Baldwin and his wife Hillary deleted their Twitter accounts.

In addition to Baldwin "stars" in Epstein's booklet, Jimmy Buffett, Chris Evans, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Jackson, Chris Tucker, Mick Jagger, David Blaine and other celebrities.

Alongside celebrities, the list also featured the names of businessmen such as Steve Forbes, Rupert Murdoch, and Mike Bloomberg, as well as the names of political leaders.

Among them as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former US President Donald Trump and former Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy.
