Today, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian fighters intercepted aircraft of the French Air Force over the Black Sea.
The TASS news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that Su-27 fighters were called up from the Air Defense Forces of the Southern Military District to prevent violating the borders of the Russian Federation, adding that the Russian fighter crews identified two "Mirage 2000" and "Rafale" fighters, as well as a "C-135" aircraft. belonging to the French Air Force and escorted them over the Black Sea.
The statement added that the Russian fighters returned to their bases and did not allow any violation of the Russian borders.
