The team of the open all-day school (OGTS) for the primary school children in the Ortererschule Wörth is happy about the new rooms that have been created in the former library in the school building.
The municipality invested around 30,000 euros in this measure in order to meet the wishes of the care team.
Wörth
- A friendly, colorful and spacious area for the boys and girls has been created on 120 square meters. Mayor Thomas Gneißl explained at the press conference that the rooms had been upgraded with regard to fire protection requirements. A new blanket had been put in place. In addition, the large room has been given new lighting, new, child-friendly furniture and a new coat of paint. "As the world's best caretaker, Alfred Stimmer supervised the renovation and also painted it," said Gneißl with a smile.
Ferdinand Biller coordinated the measure on the part of the municipal building authority.
As Gneißl further explained, the municipality introduced the OGTS for the primary school at the beginning of September 2020 through a cooperation with the Erding bridge and thus replaced the previous lunchtime care - but not the team that continues to look after the children, together with the pedagogical director Angelika Mergenthaler from the bridge.
The new premises were moved into at the end of September this year.
Before that, the OGTS 'home in the school was “spatially cramped”, according to Gneißl.
"We are very happy to have more space," said Mergenthaler, also about the fact that the room is centrally located to the auditorium and for lunch.
In the OGTS for the primary school around 55 children are cared for in one long and three short groups.
