Li Hongbo pointed out that when Liu Zhuoyu participated in the district council election the year before, he belonged to the pan-democratic camp, and his political ideas were similar to him. Li Hongbo said the need to take care of sick family members has limited participation

Li Hongbo asked a reporter to "return to the Democratic Party", but thought that from Pan Zhuohong's ostensible remarks, it was worthy of consideration. I support it, and think that Liang’s approach violates the Democratic Party’s regulations. "Maybe he (Liang) is relatively young. In fact, I don’t need to be impatient. When asked if he is worried about losing the support of voters who "abandon the election" because he expressed his support for Liu Zhuoyu, Li Hongbo pointed out that compared with other district councilors and people in the district, his votes mainly come from his work in the district.
